About Jamboree Contigents
Germany
Germany was represented by 840 Scouts of which 430 from Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft St. Georg, 220 from Federal German Scouts and 190 from Christian Scouts Association of Germany with Dr. Friedrich Kronenberg, President of the Ring Deutscher Pfadfinderbunde, as the Contingent Leader.

The Contingent traveled from Dusseldorf to Brindisi, Italy by rail and from there to Patras, Greece by boat “Egnatia”.

The German Contingent participated in all the competitions at the Jamboree and also put up a nice show at the Athens Stadium in connection with the Nations Display and performed very well the mask play “Dance of Demons” and the shadow play with the theme “a man should have faith”.

Marathon Courier
Marathon1963.com was constructed during the period January-July 2013, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 11th World Jamboree. It opened on August 1st, 2013, exactly 50 years from the opening at Marathon.
