100th Anniversary
About Jamboree Contigents
Costa Rica
Costa Rica, like a lot of other small countries where Scouting is on and off, was represented for the first time at a World Jamboree. The number of Scouts in this fine Central American Country with a population of one and a third million is only 1,000.

Only one person was representing the country – a German Enrigne Uffelmann Piel, National Commissioner for cubs and ex-Scout leader in Germany, Australia, Canada and the U.S.A. who served on the International staff.
